Mine lived for 4 year's I had 3 until they dried out I constantly used the heat they needed and feed water and food and crickets. My disliked about having lizard is when you drop cricket all over the place.

So i whenever my family would vacation in South Carolina I would always try to catch the lizards you see everywhere and one time i actually managed to get ahold of one's tail, stupid lil nick. Obviously they dropped their tail p quick and i was just left with my mouth agape thinking I just dismembered a lizard. I'm p sure I knew at the time that lizards can drop their tales but it just shocked me

4:00 oh yeah leopard geckos are dumb asf, mine won't eat something unless it moves. If it stops moving she just stares at it and i guess she doesnt quite recognize it. Maybe it's best that way, one time she nipped at her poo.

I had a boa constrictor for like 10 years. He was young I fed him a live rat, the rat bit a huge piece of my snakes back off. For the rest of his life he would move upside down like the snake in the first video. He apparently just had some nerve damage from the rat. He’s still alive living with a family friend. He is about 17 now

People shouldn’t expect a reptile keeper to help them with their problems, I mean not to be rude at all but they should be aware of that not everyone knows everything and the only safe professional help they can get is at the vet- love your vids

Bahahaha, why couldn't I have become super popular all over the internet so I could do this, and laugh hysterically (and maybe cry sometimes) and give my expert opinions on everyone else? BS! Everyone else thought of this before me and I have no expertise or talents anyone wants to watch or listen to anyway, so whatever.. Oh well, at least there are people like you out there, who are nice enough to share this experience with the rest of us. At first I'm like meh, some reptile know it all rambling on loving the sound of his own voice.... Inclusion body disease! this is what I was referring to in a different comment about treating 4 ball pythons from a petsmart, they had this disease. Our veterinarian told them they needed to stop using whatever breeder they bought them from, immediately.

I rescued a ball python yesterday that was left to die for 4 months. Once she became comfortable to move this is how she was moving. It was heart breaking

How do I scare my dogs tail off

My leopard gecko died a few days ago, it was in a 20 gallon tank and was 4 years old (it was rather small) we got her from Petco so I figure that’s why this happened I didn’t really do research before but she was kept in a good enclosure and everything :( her name was peanut

I worked at a pet store for 4 years, this doesn’t surprise me at all. People would bring their dying animals to us all the time, from reptiles to birds to hamsters and even puppies & kittens :( we had an exotic vet 2 blocks away but they kept coming to us. They didn’t want to spend money on the vet.. it sucked. Turtles were the worst because they would bring us black market baby turtles in tiny plastic bowls, and then they would freak out when we told them all the supplies they actually needed. Often they would leave with a 5 or 10 gallon tank and no lighting, saying “I’ll come get the other stuff another time”... there were some pet owners who took us seriously and would step up and spend money on their animals, but those people were the exception (we love those people)

I remember my boyfriend rescued two geckos, a leopard and an anole, and they were both starving and he noticed the anoles tail was rotting. I actually watched him get the gecko to drop the tail, and he took real good care of it, the tail even started growing back. Sadly it wasn't enough for the poor guy and he ended up passing. The leopard gecko is thriving and eats from his hand now, she went from morbidly skinny to a healthy amount of chonk!

My python died of ibd and they tried to tell me it wasn’t but he moved like that and refused to eat and they wouldn’t test him until he was already dead. Something about tissue samples

That first ball python had neurological issues probably having to do with an unregulated heat source. I unfortunately see it a lot. It's much more common than IBD in ball pythons.
